Description
Open Pollination (O.P.) seeds from Hosta Wagon Wheels. This one came to me with the slightly altered name of “Wagon Wheel” (singular) in a garden sale from another hosta lover many years ago. Blue/Green centered with gold edge. Some call this an “improved, smaller version of Frances Williams” but I don’t really see it…it reminds me more of Tokudama Falvocircinalis in some regards. Still, different, unique, and an uncommon historical variety (from before I was born)! Has heavy substance, the slugs never bother it, so I’d hope the moderate size and good substance and texture would pass along to its kids. I would expect the regular run of solids, blue and green seedlings, maybe some golds if you’re lucky.
