Hosta Ice Age Trail (Seeds)

Description

Open Pollination (O.P.) seeds from Hosta Ice Age Trail! It’s a streaked form out of Big Daddy, which is rather slow-growing in my experience. It’s also proven to be a hard plant to get established; this was my third attempt and finally it stuck (priors had often quickly stabilized into unusable plants).

Ice Age Trail also stays smaller than Big Daddy for me, but retains the heavy substance and great blue coloration. Early in the season, Ice Age Trail is blue streaked with gold, and as the season progresses the gold turns to white, and the blue may ultimately wind up being green. Interestingly, our Ice Age Trail is very unreliable from a blooming standpoint; 2021 was a great year for IAT. Ice Age Trail is a known reliable producer of streaked offspring, so these seeds should be fun to work with!
