Hosta Crested Surf (Seeds)

Description

Open Pollination (O.P.) seeds from Crested Surf. I think we auctioned seed from this one in 2021, but we had enough to make two packets of 50 this year. While references consider this a small hosta, reaching 16″ in size, our specimen is not even half that, decidedly mini, I would say maybe 6 inches tall! There could be any number of reasons for that, including where it’s planted, our short growing season, or maybe it’s not actually Crested Surf?! Regardless, the parent is a small hosta, green leave with white margins, vigorous. Should make for some small kids, probably mostly solid greens, but maybe you’ll get some surprises. No holdback inventory, this is all we have for 2022!
